A new train of thought has got me very excited about the narrative, process and imagery. The work is inspired heavily by Thom Yorke’s new record Confidenza and in particular the video for ‘Four Ways in Time.’
The concept – that’s of course different- is also inspired by the work and photobook of Robert Longo’s – ‘Men in the cities’.
The narrative is motivated by a phenomena known as the halo effect.
“The halo effect (sometimes called the halo error) is the proclivity for positive impressions of a person, company, country, brand, or product in one area to positively influence one’s opinion or feelings.
While the exact project destination is a WIP and more explorative than definite – the project aims to attempt to humanise people in suits through photography and dilute their perceived authority.
I am aiming to exhibit this work with an audio visual installation. Here are the images so far.
